An Effective, Caring Drug Rehab Center: Brighton Hospital
“I had my first drink at age 13 and did just about every drug under the sun. I came from a dysfunctional family and just didn’t know who I was. I didn’t want to feel anything, but was also seeking a kind of peace. I felt a sense of hope when I first entered treatment at Brighton Hospital. The counselors helped me realize that with each day I’d gain more knowledge about my addiction and reach a point where I could start feeling things. It was a bit of a roller coaster ride, but I’ve made great progress.”
“Brighton Hospital brought a new way of living to me. Now I have the willingness to move forward. I understand now that life can be fun — it can be an adventure. My family life has also improved because of my recovery. My dad has become more loving and caring. Before my treatment I’d go to any length to get drugs. Now, I’d go to any length to reach for recovery.”
Drug recovery is always within sight for the individual at Brighton Hospital’s drug rehab center. Many drug addicts have come from all over the world and left with their lives completely transformed in a way that they never thought possible. As Jeff mentioned, our rehab treatment center initiated a whole new way of living that was guided and monitored by a staff of licensed and expertly trained drug counselors and therapists. Some of whom, are themselves, in addiction recovery. They have “real” experience in what it takes to conquer drug addiction. Jeff’s drug rehab success story was definitely positively influenced by this aspect of our highly developed treatment environment. Our typical rehab program involves individualized drug therapy, attending morning meditation and evening educational sessions and on-campus 12-step programs. Patients also have access to Brighton’s intensive outpatient drug rehab program and services that were available to them as an inpatient. This includes medical care, treatment for their addiction, and psychiatric medical review. “What happens to our patients following inpatient care is a key element in the continuum of care that sets our program and our facility apart from others in the country,” says Denise Bertin-Epp, President of Brighton Hospital.
We’re the second-oldest drug rehab center in the United States and the first to be licensed in Michigan. One of the leading centers in patient recovery that began in the early 1950s, pioneering in custom, individually tailored drug treatment programs. We maintain a campus setting, with integrated facilities within walking distance of one another for optimal patient care. Brighton is a facility that can handle the most problematic drug addiction problem. Additionally, we have rehab programs for addictions to: alcohol, meth, marijuana, pot, crack, heroin, cocaine, speed, oxycontin, coke, prescription pain pills, ecstasy, plus other chemical abuse and addiction problems.
