How to Make Referrals to a Brighton Center for Recovery Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Therapist
“I may be able to manage the patient medically, but it also takes someone else to teach this chronically ill person how to get through his day without using drugs or alcohol,” says Eric N. Coffman, DO, a referring physician to Brighton Center for Recovery’s rehab therapy program. “When a patient’s needs suggest a longer length of inpatient stay and a highly structured treatment program, I look toward Brighton Center for Recovery with confidence.”
Brighton Center for Recovery, a leading drug and alcohol rehab therapy center, values its relationships with physicians like Dr. Coffman and other drug and alcohol treatment therapists serving individuals in the community. If you have a patient you are considering for referral and have questions about the addiction and detox therapy referral process or if you would simply like to obtain more information on our substance abuse therapists at Brighton, please call 1-877-976-2371. Representatives are available 8 a.m.-11:30 p.m. Monday-Friday; 8 a.m.-6:30 p.m. weekends. In order to simplify the referral process to our rehab therapy program, please have the patient sign a Release of Information form before they are admitted. Completed forms can be faxed to our Health Information department at 810-220-5519.
Alcohol and drug rehab patients sometimes move between levels of treatment based on their physical, emotional and psychological recovery needs. Each patient is assigned a substance abuse therapist who manages their therapy program. If you have a signed release from our mutual client, the therapist will keep you apprised of your patient’s program status as they complete their substance abuse assessment and will contact you regarding their stay and work to create an aftercare plan. However, we also respect our patients’ confidentiality. If a patient has not provided a release or has revoked a previously obtained one, we will not be able to provide any information regarding their rehab therapy.
If you were not able to obtain a signed release from the patient prior to the drug and alcohol therapy referral to Brighton, but still wish to communicate with us, you may call our switchboard at 1-877-976-2371. We will not initially be able to acknowledge the presence of the patient, but will make every effort to obtain a release and have the drug therapist contact you.
