To begin receiving a confidential assessment and subsequent treatment at Brighton Hospital, please complete our Secure Online Admission Form. You may also call 1-877-976-2371 to speak with a Customer Service representative. Representatives are available Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-11:30 p.m. and weekends, 8 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. You also have the option of texting the word BEST to 9 10 11 to receive an automated call back from Brighton Hospital with information about our programs.
After receiving your information, we will review it, evaluate your substance use history, go over insurance benefits and call within 24 hours to schedule a clinical assessment.
Brighton Hospital offers daily substance abuse testing and chemical dependency assessments in its Medical Services Building. Upon arrival, each patient receives a thorough health and physical exam and drug and alcohol testing. Our team of substance abuse professionals then meets with you individually to discuss test results and the level of care needed to treat your addiction.
What to Bring with You
When preparing for substance abuse testing and admission to Brighton Hospital, we ask that you bring the following:
- Insurance and prescription cards
- Contact information for your primary care physician, attorney, probation officer or employee assistance representative
- Prepaid phone card
- One suitcase of comfortable clothing
- Medications with prescriptions
- Personal care items
- Reading Glasses
- Pillow
- Laundry Detergent
- Spending Money
- One book or magazine
Items you may not bring with you:
- Cell phones or pagers
- Batteries
- Keys
- Laptop Computer
- Computer or Video Games
- Compact Disc or MP3 player
- Business-related paper work
- Televisions or radios
- DVD players or discs
- VCRs or video cassette tapes
- Cassette tape players or tapes
- Any food or beverage
- Clothing representing a bar, alcohol, drug use or profanity
- Provocative clothing (tank tops, short shorts, mini skirts)
- Weapons, including pocket knives
- Pornography
- Mouthwash containing alcohol
Substance Abuse Interventions

We understand that it can be difficult to determine whether a drug treatment intervention is needed for a friend or loved one. Therefore, we have a Substance Abuse Intervention Checklist of common chemical dependency indicators.
If you are planning an alcohol or drug treatment intervention or need a referral for an interventionist, please call a Customer Service Representative at 1-877-976-2371.
