What is Outpatient Addiction Treatment?
“Outpatient” refers to patients who are not residing at Brighton Hospital in a residential addiction treatment program. Our outpatient drug and alcohol rehab programs include customized group counseling and educational sessions that focus on patients’ substance abuse treatment while allowing them to continue their current living situation during rehabilitation. This allows patients to receive the vital care they need, but to also maintain their employment and family life outside of the hospital setting. Brighton Hospital’s Intensive Outpatient Drug Treatment Program is a viable and cost-effective alternative for patients who do not require more intensive inpatient drug and alcohol addiction rehabilitation.
The Intensive Outpatient Drug Treatment Program offers more support and guidance than traditional once-a-week addiction rehab counseling. Sessions are held three times a week and consist of three-hour group therapy and education sessions. To accommodate a wide range of schedules, Brighton Hospital provides day, afternoon and evening drug and alcohol rehabilitation sessions. In addition to their outpatient rehabilitation program, patients are given the opportunity to attend many Brighton sponsored 12-step programs, sobriety support groups and events. Research shows that by participating in these different opportunities, patients achieve a higher rate of success.
Since 1950, Brighton Hospital has been helping individuals overcome their addiction problems. In addition to our outpatient drug treatment program, our highly rated addiction recovery center provides rehab programs including detoxification, alcohol treatment, residential (inpatient) drug treatment and partial domiciliary hospitalization.
