Aftercare / Life Long Recovery

At Brighton Center for Recovery, we feel strongly that full recovery from substance abuse also involves care after the rehab program is over.  We know that without follow up treatment, it is easy to fall back into destructive patterns of substance abuse.  Research indicates that people are less likely to relapse if they maintain regular post rehab appointments, attend addiction support groups like Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous and other 12-step meetings, and obtain a sponsor for continued encouragement.

Brighton Center for Recovery’s After Rehab Programs include the outpatient narcotics Recovery Program (formerly Opiate Treatment Program) and Outpatient Medical Clinic.  Many drug addicted patients and alcoholics seeking recovery have traveled long distances to obtain treatment and help for their addiction through Brighton Center for Recovery.  We therefore collaborate with other substance abuse rehabilitation centers within their home communities to create coordinated plans for after rehab care. We schedule outpatient post rehab care prior to discharging our patients and perform routine post rehab telephone monitoring to follow their substance abuse recovery progress. To increase success, patients are encouraged to attend addiction support groups in their local area that are focused on the lifelong recovery.  Halfway house care is also available on campus in our 16-bed Henderson House for Men and our new 16-bed Women’s Halfway House.
