"When I first came to Brighton Hospital my outlook was very
pessimistic, grim and dark. The medication I took was leading me down the
path of destruction. My family was very distressed because of my
addiction. Through the rehab process, my family and I have learned a lot
about addiction. We're much stronger and accepting of each other now."
"My Brighton therapist said I wasn't responsible for my addiction, but
I was responsible for my recovery. It was a whole new way of thinking for
me. It helped make recovery real for me and helped turn my life around.
Today my outlook is very bright and optimistic. Now, each day is an
opportunity to be a productive citizen, claimed from my former drug
addiction."
Drug addiction rehab is difficult to start, but the
rewards for successful treatment are so many. At Brighton's drug rehab
center, your recovery is guided and monitored by a staff of licensed and
expertly trained counselors and therapists many of whom, are themselves, in drug addiction recovery. They
have "real" experience in what it takes to conquer this disease. James'
addiction rehab success story is just one many achieved that at our center
over the years. Our typical treatment program involves individualized
therapy, attending morning meditation and evening educational sessions and
on-campus 12-step programs. Patients also have access to Brighton's
intensive outpatient drug rehab center program and services that were
available to them as inpatients. This includes medical care, treatment for
their drug addiction, and psychiatric medical review. "What happens to our
patients following inpatient care is a key element in the continuum of
care that sets our program and our facility apart from others in the
country," says Denise Bertin-Epp, President of
Brighton Hospital.
We're the second-oldest drug addiction rehabilitation
center in the United States and the first to be licensed in Michigan. One
