Brighton's Drug Rehab Program: Making a Referral to our Drug Rehab Facility

"It is not my practice to judge my patients," says Chad D. Savage, MD, an active referring physician in Livingston County, Michigan.  "Instead I help them make better choices to achieve optimal health.  I find that patients who have been treated at Brighton Hospital are the most motivated to succeed in their recoveries and compliant in accepting my guidance away from medications and toward better habits and healthier lifestyle choices.  We need places like Brighton Hospital to help patients achieve better adjustments to stress than ones which lead them to drugs, alcohol or relapse from sobriety."

Brighton Hospital, a Michigan drug rehab facility, values its relationships with physicians, like Dr. Savage and others serving patients in the community. If you are considering an alcohol or drug treatment referral to our facility and have questions about the rehab referral process; would like to obtain more information on our drug rehab program, or want to provide information to us, please call one of our Brighton Representatives at 800-523-8198 or 810-220-5514. Representatives are available 8 a.m.-11:30 p.m. Monday-Friday; 8 a.m.-6:30 p.m. weekends.

To simplify referrals to our drug rehab program, please have the patient sign a Release of Information form before they are admitted to Brighton.  Completed forms can be faxed to our Admissions Department at 810-227-2029.

We will keep you apprised of your patient’s program status as they complete their alcohol and drug rehab assessment at our facility. However, we also respect our patients’ confidentiality. There may be instances in which a patient has not provided a release, or has revoked a previously obtained one. We will not be able to provide any information regarding the drug rehab progress in such cases, in order to protect our patients’ wishes.

Alcohol and drug rehab patients sometimes move between levels of treatment based on their physical, emotional, psychological, and recovery needs. Each patient is assigned a Brighton facility therapist who manages their drug rehab program. If you have a signed release from our mutual client, we will contact you regarding their stay at our drug rehab facility and work with you to create an aftercare plan.

If you were not able to obtain a signed release from the patient prior to the drug rehab referral to Brighton’s treatment center, but still wish to communicate with us, you may call our switchboard at 810-227-1211. We will not initially be able to acknowledge the presence of the patient, but will make every effort to obtain a release and have the drug rehab program therapist contact you.
