Brighton Hospital Resources: Substance Abuse Help and Drug Treatment Options for Our Site Visitors

Since 1954, Brighton Hospital has been providing drug abuse help for individuals to overcome their addiction problems. Our substance abuse treatment center provides alcohol and drug treatment options focused on detoxification (detox), alcohol treatment, 30 day residential substance abuse treatment, outpatient rehabilitation, and partial hospitalization. Special programs include adolescent substance abuse help, men’s and women’s halfway houses, dual diagnosis (mental disorders with chemical dependency), and outpatient opiate (prescription pain killers, heroin) treatment. All drug treatment options are customized for each individual and may include a 12 step program, counseling, and aftercare follow-up.

Resources for Physicians, Hospitals and Therapists
We value our relationships with physicians and others serving patients in the community.  When referring a patient for substance abuse help, we will do our best to keep you apprised of your patient’s program status as they complete their drug abuse assessment.  Our professional staff are experts in the many drug treatment options available and are committed to providing high-quality care using a compassionate and patient-centered approach.  Every effort is made to have patients follow-up with their referring providers after discharge.  More for Physicians...

Resources for Visitors
Visitors to Brighton Hospital enjoy our 92 acres of beautiful campus – which includes Lake Serenity – and are also provided recreational options through nature trails, golf, camping, boating, biking, petting zoos and more at several state metroparks and recreation areas within a short drive of our substance abuse center.  More for Visitors...

Resources for Friends and Family
We understand the important role that family and friends play in the recovery effort of our patients.  In addition, we understand that for every person in treatment, at least six to ten friends and loved ones are affected.  Therefore, friends and family are encouraged to join our Friends and Family Drug Abuse Program for family drug abuse help.  More for Friends/Family...

Resources for Clergy
Our Clergy Rehab Program is currently working with Christian churches, Jewish synagogues and other multi-denominational, inter-faith groups to bring substance abuse help to all who seek it, whether clergy or congregants.  More for Clergy...

Resources for Medical Students
We are expanding the understanding and options of drug treatment through fellowships for medical students, advanced education degrees for nurses, and specialized addiction training rotations for social workers. Brighton Hospital fellowships offer specialized education and training covering the disease of substance abuse and addiction.  More for Medical Students...

Resources for Employers
When it comes to alcohol or drug abuse in the workplace, employers and co-workers need to review their options, and take the steps necessary to combat employee alcohol and drug abuse problems and seek the appropriate help.  Resources such as Employee Assistance Programs or Employee Service Support Programs, and Brighton Hospital can help with the drug treatment that employees may need.  More for Employers...

Resources for Alumni
We’re proud of the thousands of Brighton alumni who are experiencing the joy of sobriety. It’s energizing to hear back from each and every graduate about how our drug treatment program helped them. Recovery though, doesn’t end when treatment is over. In order to help solidify the gains made while at Brighton Hospital, we encourage every Brighton graduate to take advantage of the celebratory sobriety meetings, support groups and other post drug treatment options available to them through our alumni programs.  More for Alumni...

Resources for Volunteers
The volunteer program at Brighton Hospital focuses on giving back to families and patients who need help with substance abuse. Volunteers generously contribute their time to make Brighton Hospital a center of hope, healing and motivation for patients and families recovering from drug abuse and addiction. More for Volunteers...
