Tune-Up is held on Brighton Hospital's campus three times a year.
The band is Complete Abandon and between them they have over 55 continuous years of recovery from drugs and alcohol. Band members, Pete & Al also have over 35 years additionally as grateful members of the program for friends and families of alcohol/drug addicted people. "We are what you might call doubly blessed."
Guest Speaker Cornelius James Finnen, Esq. gives a talk at Brighton Tune-up and receives his 40 year coin from Jean McGrath, herself clean and sober for 41 years after receiving treatment at Brighton Hospital.
Cornelius James Finnen, Esq., a former Brighton patient in 1968, currently resides in New Mexico. His background includes being Assistant to the Macomb County Prosecuting Attorney in 1971, from 1971-1999 Assistant City Attorney Albuquerque, New Mexico (retired); contiguously served as 1993-1999 Legal Advisor for Bernalillo County New Mexico Sheriffs Department from and as Alternate Municipal Judge for the City of Rio Rancho, New Mexico 1993-1999.
Tune-Up
Life is full of celebration, and we can’t think of a better thing to celebrate than recovery. To honor our patients and the changes they’ve made in their lives, Brighton Hospital alumni and their family and friends are invited to Tune-Up, held each May, August and November.
Each Tune-Up gives our alumni the chance to socialize and features inspirational guest speakers, games, coining ceremonies and plenty of camaraderie.

Cake and refreshments will be served as guests peruse the gifts shop filled with interesting items and cafe. Please join the Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce as we celebrate this exciting Grand Opening.
