Admissions and Intervention - The Brighton Advantage
Top Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation for 50 Years

Mending lives. It's what we do every day at the Brighton Hospital, a world renowned alcohol and drug rehabilitation center. Our multidisciplinary team of addiction recovery experts know that chemical dependency and substance abuse is a disease - not a weakness. We know that recovery is possible based on the thousands of patients we've helped since 1950.

In fact, Brighton Hospital is the second oldest alcohol and drug treatment center in the country. We are preferred by those seeking a caring and compassionate alcohol and drug rehab clinic. Many of our patients seeking an experienced, effective drug addiction rehabilitation center come from Livingston, Oakland, Wayne, Washtenaw, and Macomb counties, which encompass the Metro Detroit, Ann Arbor, Lansing, and Grand Rapids areas of Michigan (MI). Yet, we often serve patients from Chicago, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Columbus as well. As our reputation for excellence in addiction recovery has grown, so has our helping hand. Our status as a national leader in drug rehabilitation treatment and intervention has patients coming from all around the United States as well as Ontario and Quebec, Canada. Brighton Hospital has been their choice over many other highly regarded chemical dependency hospitals.

Our Toll-Free Number: 1-877-976-2371

Our hospital provides patients with individualized programs focused on drug detox, drug rehab, alcohol treatment, substance abuse treatment, and addiction counseling. We have focused programs of 30 day residential drug treatment and outpatient drug treatment with partial hospitalization. Our licensed and certified chemical dependency counselors know that drug addiction and alcoholism do not discriminate on age, occupation or mental health status. Therefore, we also offer specialty substance abuse programs and intervention focused on the unique needs of teens and adolescents, health professionals, clergy seeking addiction recovery, men's and women's halfway houses, and dual diagnosis treatment (mental disorders with chemical dependency). Our patients are often self-referred, but we also partner with hospitals, interventionists, other rehabilitation clinics and chemical dependency hospitals, therapists, employers and employee assistance programs (EAP), physicians, and places of worship to help those in need of addiction treatment. For family members looking for an intervention, our substance abuse intervention checklist can answer questions about the signs and symptoms of drug and/or alcohol abuse. Plus, Brighton understands that for each patient in alcohol or drug rehab, at least six to ten friends or family members are affected. Therefore, our Family and Friends program offers rehabilitation counseling services to family members as we feel this promotes a strong addiction recovery support system for patients fighting the courageous battle over their drug and alcohol dependence.

The first step toward receiving substance abuse testing/screening and treatment at Brighton Hospital is to complete our Secure Online Admission Form. Alternately, you can call 1-877-976-2371 to provide the necessary information for a chemical dependency assessment. Our Customer Service representatives are available 8 a.m.-11:30 p.m. Monday-Friday; 8 a.m.-6:30 p.m. weekends. Once received, we will review your substance abuse screening form, evaluate your substance use history, go over your insurance benefits and call within 24 hours to schedule a chemical dependency assessment.

Brighton Hospital offers daily substance abuse testing and chemical dependency assessments in its Medical Services Building. When patients arrive for admission, they receive a thorough health and physical exam, which includes drug and alcohol testing, as part of our substance abuse testing procedures. Our team of substance abuse professionals then meets with patients individually to discuss testing results, and the level of care needed to treat their addiction.

Substance Abuse Interventions
Because it can sometimes be difficult to determine if a drug treatment intervention is needed for a friend or loved one, we've developed a Substance Abuse Intervention Checklist of common chemical dependency indicators.

If you are planning an alcohol or drug treatment intervention or need a referral for an interventionist, please call a Customer Service Representative at 1-877-976-2371. Representatives are available from 8 a.m.-11:30 p.m. Monday-Friday; 8 a.m.-6:30 p.m. weekends. We can make arrangements for an on-site substance abuse intervention and/or schedule a chemical dependency assessment.
