About Brighton Hospital:
Drug and Alcohol Treatment and Addiction Center - Expert Guidance to Recovery
Thank you for your interest in Brighton Hospital, the second-oldest alcohol and drug treatment provider in the country and the first addiction center to be licensed in Michigan. Our status as a national leader in addiction treatment and recovery began when we opened in the early 1950s. Since then, our reputation has grown because of the care, compassion and clinical excellence we've demonstrated to the thousands of people in drug and alcohol recovery that we've helped over the years.
There are many reasons why so many patients bypass other highly regarded addiction treatment centers and choose Brighton from among the best in North America. Adding to our history and leadership in the field of drug and alcohol treatment are our current and relevant substance abuse program achievements:
- All addiction recovery programs at Brighton Hospital are
individualized and include input from a multidisciplinary team of
physicians, nurses, substance abuse counselors and recovery care
managers.
- Our drug and alcohol recovery patients experience the
total commitment of a workforce in which a majority of associates are
also in recovery or are adult children of alcoholics.
- We are
the only addiction treatment center in Michigan that has 24-hour
nursing staff coverage and a full-time registered dietitian and
nutrition specialist.
- Demonstrating our commitment to clinical
excellence, a large number of Brighton nurses are Certified Addiction
Registered Nurses through the International Nurses Society on Addictions.
- Our
outstanding alcohol and drug recovery aftercare programs include easy,
on-campus access to a variety of 12-step programs on a daily basis.
- For
patients paying privately for longer recovery stays at our center, we
are competitively priced, and we do not sacrifice our substance abuse
program quality for cost.
- Every Brighton Hospital associate
receives annual service excellence training. This is reflected by
patient satisfaction scores exceeding 90 percent.
- Having
established America's first Fellowship in Addiction Medicine in a
clinical setting, we lead the nation in the medical education for
alcohol and drug recovery specialists.
- We help expand the
understanding and knowledge of alcohol and drug treatment through
regular rotations of nursing, medical and social work students.
- We are state-licensed addiction treatment center, accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations and a member of the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers.
- As
part of the integrated behavioral health network of St. John Health, we
gain strength from the broad collaboration with the respected clinics
at Providence Hospital and the Eastwood Clinics.
We’re proud to be drug and alcohol recovery leaders in our field and invite you to discover the treatment tools to live a sober and healthy life. If you or someone you love is addicted to alcohol or drugs, our team of compassionate and respectful addiction treatment professionals are ready to help in recovery. Welcome to hope. Welcome to Brighton Hospital.
